Welcome to Powell Corderoy Primary School!
We are one of the smaller schools in the area, and undoubtedly one of the friendliest! As the oldest school in Dorking, we have long established traditions and a beautiful setting next to The Nower, one of Dorking's finest areas of natural beauty. For those new to the area, our school is right next door to The Priory Secondary School, and has extensive playgrounds and fields stretching from The Nower, looking across The Priory's fields towards the A25 - a truly beautiful situation. In addition to the normal classrooms we make use of our beautiful grounds, which include two playgrounds, a large field and an environmental area which contains a sensory garden and our wild-life pond. Our latest project involves the establishment of planters to enable the children to grow fruit and vegetables!
We have an experienced and hardworking team of teaching and support staff who encourage all children to achieve their potential. We have high expectations of work and behaviour, and our children grow up caring for each other.

Our children are given the opportunity to extend their learning through joining one of the many after school and lunch time clubs run by staff, parents and other organisations. We also have music teachers who visit weekly to give instrument tuition. Our children love to perform in school productions and assemblies and parents enjoy coming and watching the children at every opportunity.
Our Friends of Powell Corderoy group works very hard to organise lots of events, such as Christmas Fayres, Summer Festival stalls, Quiz nights etc. They are a very active group who always welcome new members.
